On December 11, 2025, as the IZTECH Photonics Department, we had the pleasure of once again sharing the light of science with the broader community.

Our Department Chair, Prof. Dr. Canan Varlikli, delivered a lecture titled “The Dance of Light and Matter: Photonics Science and Engineering” as part of the Wisdom Academy. Designed for individuals over 50 with a focus on the philosophy of lifelong learning, this valuable program explored the fundamental interaction between light and matter and the critical role of photonics in modern technologies.

We are proud to contribute to the Wisdom Academy, which stands alongside IZTECH’s Children’s University and High School Science Camp as a vital link in our university’s efforts to foster a culture of science, uniting experience and knowledge under one roof.
