The 8th-term students of the Photonics Department at İzmir Institute of Technology (İYTE) presented their graduation projects at the poster presentation event on May 30, 2024. The projects, which the students prepared with great effort, attracted significant interest from faculty members and students.

As a result of the jury evaluation, Umut Baran Gündüz won the best poster award with his project titled “Enhancing OLED Performance with Plasmonic Effect of Nanoparticles.” His certificate was presented by the department head, Prof. Dr. Canan Varlıklı.

The event was also attended by our 2023 graduate, Can Torun, who is working as a Laser Engineer at Aselsan. The event was beneficial for sharing knowledge and experiences and developing potential collaborations. Participants had the opportunity to exchange detailed ideas about the projects, and the day ended on a cheerful note with a karaoke session.

Such events are of great importance for students to showcase their scientific competence and strengthen their social bonds. We thank all the students and faculty members who participated.
