On March 28, 2024, a technical excursion was organized to the Solar Energy Institute of Ege University with a group of undergraduate students registered for the course PHOT 444 Nanotechnological Energy Applications. During our visit, we received information about material production, structural characterization, device production and characterization related to new and emerging photovoltaic device technologies, as well as panel lamination processes based on existing silicon technology and monitoring of installed systems. Additionally, information was obtained about a pilot system regarding the use of solar energy in biomass and food drying research.
