Our “Sector Spectrum” event series, organized in collaboration with the IZTECH Department of Photonics, IZTECH OPS, and IEEE Photonics IZTECH student societies, continues to bring together academia and industry.

On March 12, 2026, as part of the PHOT 444 – Photonics in Nanotechnological Energy Applications course, we hosted Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mete Çubukçu from Ege University Solar Energy Institute.

During the session, Dr. Çubukçu shared his expertise on current advancements in solar energy and photovoltaic technologies, the role of nanotechnological applications in the energy sector, and the future of the industry. This meeting provided a platform for our undergraduate and graduate students to explore the critical role of photonics in sustainable energy solutions, bridging academic knowledge with professional insights.
