On March 27, 2025, in collaboration with the IZTECH Career Development Application and Research Center, a technical visit was organized to the M&M Graphia factory in Tire with the participation of students enrolled in the PHOT 444 Nanotechnological Energy Applications course, as well as students from the Energy Systems Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering departments.

During the visit, the Soliterm Group solar thermal system, installed on the roof of the factory, was examined. Established in 2005, the factory employs approximately 500 people. The 3.5 MW thermal system is used for climate control and carbon footprint reduction efforts. Throughout the visit, students had the opportunity to learn about the industrial integration of solar thermal systems.
