As part of the PHOT 444 Nanotechnological Energy Applications course conducted under the supervision of our faculty member Prof. Dr. Canan Varlıklı, a technical visit to the Solar Energy Institute was organized on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

During the visit, students explored various facilities including areas dedicated to photonic technologies, the production of photovoltaic cells and mini panels based on organic semiconductors, as well as the lamination laboratory. They also received detailed information about the ongoing work in these fields. A lecture on solar thermal systems was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Koray Ülgen, significantly broadening our students’ perspectives on the added value of solar energy in photonic technologies.
