Our faculty member, Associate Professor Dr. Sevilay Sevinçli, presented Science, Technology, and Photonics to high school and middle school students.

Our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevilay Sevinçli, aimed to increase interest in science and technology by participating in two significant events in March and May, meeting middle school and high school students. 

On March 29th, at the Science Festival Event held at ODTÜ Development Foundation Middle School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevilay Sevinçli delivered a speech titled “What Does a Scientist Do?” Emphasizing the power of science and the contributions of scientists to society, Sevinçli ignited the scientific curiosity and research passion of the students.

On May 9th, at the event organized at ODTÜ Development Foundation High School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevilay Sevinçli gave a speech titled “Stopping Light: From Science Fiction to Reality.” Delivering an impressive presentation that combines science fiction with real science regarding stopping light, Sevinçli conveyed exciting developments in the field of photonics to the students and provided information about future career opportunities.
