As part of the PHOT 100 Introduction to Photonics course, the Sector Spectrum event, jointly organized by the IZTECH Optics and Photonics Community and the IEEE IZTECH Photonics Society, was held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the Integrated Research Center Seminar Hall. Göktuğ Gencehan Artan from TEOPS delivered a presentation during the event.

In his presentation titled “The Future of Electro-Optic Systems,” Artan shared significant insights about the ecosystem of optics and electro-optic systems in Turkey, starting from their early developments to the present day.

Throughout the event, tea, filtered coffee, and water were served to the participants. In alignment with IZTECH’s sustainability vision, attendees were kindly asked to bring their own cups and mugs. This initiative contributed to the 12th Sustainable Development Goal, “Responsible Consumption and Production.”

This productive gathering with students and faculty members once again emphasized the importance of collaboration between industry and academia. We extend our sincere gratitude to Göktuğ Gencehan Artan for his valuable contributions.
