In the awards given in honor of Sedat Simavi, the Founding President of TGC, who passed away on December 11, 1953, the selection committee awarded Prof. Dr. Hasan Şahin a commendation award for his work titled  “Raman and Optical Properties of Vader Waals Type Heterostructures of Single-Layer GaP and GaSe: A First Principle Study”.
