Cooperative Education Course (CO-OP)

Students of the Department of Photonics are required to complete an internship to graduate from the 4-year undergraduate program.

The internship must last at least 30 working days and cannot be divided into multiple periods. The Photonics Department Internship course is listed as PHOT400 and is taken after the 8th semester. Students who meet the necessary requirements can complete their internships at organizations operating in the field of photonics with the approval of the responsible faculty member.

The primary goal of the internship is to complement the theoretical knowledge acquired in the Department of Photonics with practical skills and experience while providing insight into how this knowledge is applied in the industry.

In addition to the mandatory internship, our department offers a Cooperative Education Course (CO-OP) with the course code PHOT499. This course aims to provide students with knowledge about photonics applications and to enhance this knowledge through hands-on experience in industrial settings.

The table below lists the institutions, organizations, and research groups where our students have completed their internships or worked as part of the CO-OP course.
