As the Department of Photonics, we are organizing the IZPHOTECH 2024 event on October 21-22, 2024, in collaboration with the IZTECH Optics and Photonics Society and the IEEE Photonics Student Chapter, and with the financial support of Optica and IEEE Photonics, to celebrate International Day of Photonics. It will bring together academics, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the latest developments in photonics science and technology.

Speakers:

The event will feature many distinguished scientists who are experts in their fields. Our prominent speakers (Dr. Yiğit Ozan Aydın, Dr. Martin Byrdin, Dr. Tawfique Hasan, Dr. İsa Hatipoğlu, Dr. Mihai Irimia-Vladu, Dr. Maria Khrenova, Talha Kuru, Soner Mülayim, Dr. Ayşe Turak, Dr. Alper Ülkü, Dr. Bengü Uysal, Dr. Fırat Yaşar, Dr. Kıvılcım Yüksel) will share insights on various topics, including fiber lasers, biophotonics, photocatalysis, advanced fiber optic technologies, and the role of photonic systems in space missions.

This year’s event will cover topics such as biophotonics, laser technologies, OLED and QLED display technologies, optical sensors, and the integration of photonic systems in space missions. In addition, discussions will be held on how advanced technologies in photonics are shaping the future.

Venue and Date:

The event will take place at the IZTECH Integrated Research Center (IRC) on October 21-22, 2024. It will be held both in-person and live-streamed on the IZTECH OPS YouTube channel.
